CLAY COUNTY, Mo. - Three people, including a postal worker, are accused of burglarizing the home of a World War II military veteran.
Fifty-one-year-old Rickey L. Sloan, 37-year-old Cristen M. Fisher, and 55-year-old Pamela McKown have been charged with burglary.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department said Sloan and Fisher broke into the home outside of Kearney, Mo., in October. They took more than $25,000 worth of antique items the 92-year-old collected while overseas during the war. They were assisted by McKown who is the postal carrier for the victim.
Investigators were able to recover nearly all the reported stolen items and return them to the victim.
Detectives are now looking to see if McKown is connected to at least 11 other burglaries that occurred in recent months at homes on or near her postal route.
