KANSAS CITY, Kansas - A deadly wreck in KCK leaves one dead and one in critical condition Sunday night.
Around 11:30 p.m., a sport utility vehicle and a pick-up truck collided on 86th Street between Lowell and Kansas Avenue.
A preliminary crash report indicates the truck was traveling northbound on 86th when it lost control, left the road, and then flipped onto 86th Street where it struck the SUV which was going southbound.
The driver of the truck is in critical condition at an area hospital.
The passenger of the truck died at the scene from his injuries.
The driver and two passengers of the sport utility vehicle were treated for minor injuries at an area hospital.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department's Traffic Support Unit/Critical Collision Response Team (CCRT).
