Trial in sex slave case pushed back to February

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A federal judge has again pushed back the trial for a southwest Missouri man and his wife who are accused of keeping a woman as a sex slave.

Edward Bagley Sr. and his wife, Marilyn Bagley, are charged with sex trafficking, forced labor trafficking, document servitude and use of an interstate facility to facilitate unlawful activity.

Prosecutors say they groomed a young woman to be a sex slave after she moved into their Lebanon mobile home in 2002 while she was a teenager.

Four men who are accused of torturing the woman at the Bagleys' trailer have pleaded guilty to federal charges.

Edward and Marilyn Bagley had been scheduled to go to trial in December, but last week U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert Larsen continued it until February.
