Foiled burglary leads to stabbing near Federal Reserve building in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two suspects are in custody and another man is on the loose after a stabbing near the Federal Reserve building in Kansas City, Mo.

The stabbing occurred around 2:20 p.m. at the site of a former hospital at 31st and Baltimore. The building is currently being renovated into a condominium. According to police, three men were attempting to burglarize the building when three construction workers helping with the remodeling project confronted them.

One construction worker was stabbed, and the other two sustained minor injuries. One of the suspects was also injured. Both the stabbing victim and the injured suspect were taken to local hospitals.

Police say they are still searching for one of the three men who attempted to break into the building.
