PLATTE CITY, Mo. - Two people were arrested Tuesday morning after Platte County investigators found a suspected meth lab in a cabin in Platte City, Mo.
Just after 6 a.m., officers were called to the Basswood Resort in Platte City to check on stolen property in a vehicle, according to Capt. Erik Holland of the Platte County Sheriff's Department.
The officers found a man and woman with the vehicle. The deputies also detected an odor associated with a meth lab, Holland said.
Officers found what appeared to be a lab inside a nearby cabin, though Holland said the lab was not in use.
The Central Platte Fire District came on scene to help with the cleanup and decontamination of the deputies and the man and woman. There currently is no word on charges in the case.
