INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Two people were arrested Tuesday morning when the stolen car they were driving crashed during a chase with Independence Police, authorities said.
According to police, an officer spotted the stolen vehicle, reported stolen from Fifth Terrace North and Seminole, and attempted to pull it over.
The driver fled, initiating a chase that reached speeds between 70 and 80 miles per hours, police said.
The car crashed in a ravine near RD Mize Road and Eureka at about 6:45 a.m.Both men tried running from the crash, but were arrested just moments later.
