JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. - Three people have been charged in the beating of a 69-year-old man early Thursday evening.
Early Wednesday morning, police were called to an armed disturbance in the 5400 block of Flint St. When they arrived, police found Dennis W. Davey suffering from blunt force trauma. He was able to talk to the police briefly before being transported to the hospital.
Nicole Carter, Davey’s step-daughter, was apprehended near the scene. Adam Hersh and Whitney Hersh, who were seen leaving the scene, were located and apprehended by police soon after.
Early Thursday evening, the three were charged with attempted first-degree murder. They are currently being held at the Johnson County Detention Center on $500,000 bail.
