KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Authorities have released more details and a picture of one of the suspects in a Friday morning bank robbery in KCK.
Authorities say two men entered the Bank Midwest at 3500 Rainbow Blvd., just after 9 a.m. and demanded money.
According to the FBI, one of the men jumped the counter, announced the robbery and emptied tellers’ cash drawers while the other brandished a silver-colored gun and controlled the lobby.
The men took off in a dark-colored late-90s model Chevy Tahoe driven by a woman. They were last seen leaving the area in a westbound direction.
The first suspect was described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s. He was about 5 foot 9 with a medium build wearing a multi-colored shirt, jeans, Ray Ban sunglasses and had his hair in a dreadlocked ponytail.
The second suspect was also described as a black male in his late 20 or early 30s. He stood about 6 feet tall with a heavy build and was wearing a gray t-shirt, jean shorts, a red baseball hat and had a heavy black beard.
No detailed description was available for the female driver of the getaway car.
