LAWRENCE, Kan. - A KU football player was arrested on Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery that happened on May 13.
Lawrence Police said University of Kansas football player Christopher Stefaun Martin, 21, of Lawrence and two others are accused of being involved in the robbery. According to authorities, a victim said several people were involved in the robbery in the 1900 block of Camelback Drive.
Cash and marijuana were both reportedly stolen at gunpoint. Authorities said investigators executed search warrants on Wednesday at several locations in Lawrence and arrested Martin as well as Jeremiah Letrell Edwards, 21, and Joshua Edwards, 28, both also of Lawrence. Police said they also found evidence of the robbery.
The three men face charges of aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
