KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police have identified a woman was found dead in a car in Kansas City on Thursday morning.
The victim is Heather L. Brown. She was 32.
Officers were called to the area of 39th and Kensington when a passerby spotted the victim’s body in a car there.
Her death is being investigated as a homicide, according to a statement from the Kansas City Police Department.
Neighbors are on edge while police investigate. "It is mind bothering, after twenty years," said Derryl Stanley, who has lived across the street from where the woman was found for decades. "Not knowing who and when," he said. He admits he'll be more aware of his surroundings from now on.
No other details were immediately released.
