OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - A woman had a terrifying afternoon after two men broke into her Overland Park home. She hid in her bathroom and called 911 while one of them searched the downstairs.
According to police, the woman was inside her home in the 10500 block of Flint when two men knocked on her front door. When she didn't answer, one of them broke in through the back door. The other suspect waited in the car.
Police apprehended the suspect in the car when they arrived. The man inside the home left the scene on foot, but police took him into custody in the 10600 block of Quivira.
The homeowner was not injured.
