KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City woman was robbed at gunpoint in her apartment parking garage early Sunday morning, according to police.

The woman said she arrived at her garage around 12:19 a.m. and noticed a white Hyundai in the garage that seemed to be out of place. She told police the occupants were watching her walk through the garage. When she walked up to the doors of her complex in the 4700 block of Summit, the Hyundai pulled up and one person got out of the vehicle, according to authorities.

Police said that suspect had a gun and pushed the woman against the door. Police said he pointed the gun at her head and told her to give him her purse.

The woman gave her purse to the man and he got back into the car and left the scene.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Kansas City police TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
