Woman robbed at gunpoint outside Overland Park dance studio

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - A woman was robbed at gunpoint outside an Overland Park dance studio Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the 7800 block of Foster Street around 1 p.m.

According to Overland Park police, the woman was walking from the dance studio to her car when a man came up to her with a black handgun and demanded money.

The woman gave him her wallet, which had some cash and credit cards in it at the time. The robber ran away without harming her, and is believed to have gotten away in a silver Lincoln Towncar driven by an accomplice.

The robber is described as a skinny white man with short blond hair and jagged teeth. He's around 20 to 25 years old, and 5'7" to 5'9". He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans during the robbery.
