Police identify 33rd Street homicide victim as 70-year-old Marise Barrett

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police have identified the woman found dead inside an east Kansas City home Sunday morning.

Authorities are investigating the death of Marise Barrett, 70, as a homicide.

Officers were were called about 11:15 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 4400 block of East 33rd Street to investigate an ambulance call. A man there told police he found his wife dead and called for help.

Investigators have not disclosed Barrett’s cause of death.
