GRANDVIEW, Mo. - Harvesters is helping dish up healthy ideas for children.
Friday, they held a “Kids in the Kitchen” class at Butcher-Green Elementary School in Grandview.
The goal is to teach children nutritional ideas for snacks and those not so healthy.
Organizers said the lessons they are taught now will carry into adulthood.
"’Kids in the Kitchen’ classes are important because they introduce kids to foods they may have tried and access to,” said Ellen Feldhausen with Harvesters.
Last year, more than 3,500 children participated in the classes.
