KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Students in Kansas City, Kan., need your help preparing for the start of the school year.
The Wyandotte County School Districts needs about $25,000 to help buy school supplies for kids.
This is due to lack of funding for the 11th annual Wyandotte County Back-To-School Fair on Saturday, Aug. 4.
Donations will help pay for basic supplies like backpacks, pencils, pens, notebooks, crayons, glue and binders.
"A student that's sitting in a class that doesn't have all the supplies that they need, they are really distracted from the learning process. So they really do need to have everything that they need. We can't provide everything", fair volunteer Arlana Coleman said.
To make a donation to help students in the KCK area, write a check to the KCKCC Endowment Association, and send it to 7250 State Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66112.
You're also asked to write "BTSF" on the memo section of the check.
