KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Ben Davis was going through a tough time in his life.
"I was in the midst of a pretty bad depression. I was 360 pounds. One night at Christmas Eve my grandmother asked me if I was happy with my life and I realized for the first time that I wasn't."
That realization caused Davis to start exercising. To run as much as he could, as long as he could. Along the way he blogged to keep folks informed of his progress.
“Through the blog people started to connect with that message of this is how it actually is to do a life transformation," said Davis.
Davis set up a website, bendoeslife.com . More and more joined in his journey. So much so that Davis started the "Do Life" tour in June. He's hitting 32 cities in 40 days. He stopped in Kansas City Wednesday evening.
"We just did our 21st city we're up over 1,000 participants. We've lost 20,000 pounds together."
Along the way inspiring those looking for a life change as well.
“He made that decision to change his life and he started with small changes and really built it up," said Jason Frederich.
Yvonne Corpus said, "He didn't do anything special. He didn't have any hot shot trainer or chef. He did what he had to do to get it done."
All the while, he is being inspired himself.
"The ‘Do Life’ movement is nothing to do with me. It's all about what we're doing and what we're doing together. People are spreading the word as they find happiness."
