KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The American Cancer Society announced Tuesday they are looking for people in the metro area to participate in a new cancer prevention study.
Men and women who have never been diagnosed with cancer are invited to participate.
They are partnering with four local companies to assist with enrollment, which begins in August.
“The goal is the enroll 300,000 participants nationwide and then to follow these participants over the next 20 years to provide valuable data that will help us better understand risk factors for cancer and how we can ultimately prevent cancer," Randy Linduff, of the American Cancer Society said.
