KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Instead of happy hour there's a new "healthy hour" on Fridays to help people stay fit in Kansas City.

On Friday nights in December, community centers will offer free access to workout equipment, pools and indoor tracks.

The community centers that offer healthy hour are Brush Creek, Hillcrest, Westport-Roanoake, Gregg/Klice, Southeast, Tony Aguirre and Kansas City North.

"It's located within the community. They (have) centers all over the Kansas City area, so it's easily accessible," gym member Tommy Wright said.

Healthy hour runs from 4 to 6 p.m. -- just like most happy hours -- through the month of December.
