KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Pediatricians in Kansas City are starting to see more cases of the flu.

Pediatric Associates on the Plaza says you should see a doctor if:

* The fever lasts for more than five days.
* If your child is overly tired.
* If there's a change in your child's mental status.
* If you're child is difficult to wake up.

"We're thinking that flu season is going to peak in April here in our Midwestern area," said Dr. Natasha Burgert, a pediatrician at Pediatric Associates. "So it's never toO late to wash your hands. Make sure you're getting plenty of rest, and get that flu shot."

A final piece of advice -- if you, of your child, feels sick, doctors say stay at home.
