OVERLAND PARK, Kansas - A small fundraiser promises to change lives. It benefits a charity helping people fight serious diseases. However, the charity is battling its own infection: financial worry.
For 10 years, Pathway to Hope has been offering support to the mentally ill. The group is helping growing numbers of people. However, with state funding cuts, resources are scarce. So, fundraising has become a lifeline.
