KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Nearly 2,000 Kansas City Board of Public Utilities customers were without service in the area of 78th and Parallel Parkway on Sunday afternoon.
By 4 p.m. on Sunday, power was restored to the majority of customers without service.
An addition, 5,000 Kansas City Power & Light customers are also without service in the Kansas City metro area. The outage occurred early Sunday morning. At the peak of the KCP&L outage, more than 14,000 customers were without service.
