Greenpeace is releasing findings of a 45-year study this morning with shocking numbers for Missouri and Kansas.
The report shows that between 1960 and 2005, Missouri emitted 13 times more carbon dioxide than China and 20 percent more than the U.S. average.
According to Greenpeace, if Missouri were a nation, it would have the second highest per capita emissions in the world.
Greenpeace says Missouri emits 869 tons of CO2 per person. Kansas comes in even higher, emitting 1,109 tons of CO2 per person.
