KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Wednesday, two ministries of Episcopal Community Services gathered together to provide a very special holiday meal to guests.

The staff of the Kansas City Community Kitchen and students of the Culinary Cornerstones chef training program prepared a traditional Thanksgiving meal for guests of the Community Kitchen.

More than 60 turkeys with all the trimmings will be served to several hundred guests.

In a banquet style setting, the guests were served at their tables by 40 plus volunteers.

Several students of the Jazz program at the UMKC Music Conservatory provided the guests with live jazz.

The Community Kitchen says it was worth the extra effort to make sure everyone had a nice, memorable Thanksgiving.
