KANSAS CITY, Mo. – First it was by ground, now the search for Kara Kopetsky goes underwater.
The Lee’s Summit dive team searched two ponds located on land near 155th and Holmes in Kansas City.
On Wednesday, 220 officers and marines searched more than 400 acres.
They are looking for clues in the disappearance of the missing Belton teenager.
Kara Kopetsky was last seen on May 4th 2007 leaving Belton High School. She was 17 at the time.
A FBI spokesman says it was not a new tip that led them to the property.
No new evidence was found.
