WASHINGTON -- President Obama is meeting with 220 mayors from across the United States to get better outlook on job creation and the economy.
Among the mayors invited to attend the 78th Winter Meeting of the Conference of Mayors was Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser and Kansas City, Kansas Mayor Joe Reardon. Mayor Reardon will discuss the recent deal involving the new Wizards Stadium. He is going to give some insight into how the Wyandotte County and the State of Kansas was able to partner with the Cerner Corporation and the Kansas City Wizards to create more than 8,000 jobs over the next few years in the metro.
The three day conference is ahead of the President's "State of the Union" next week.
The U.S. Conference of Mayors started in 1932 during the depression.
