KANSAS CITY, Mo. - UMKC faculty and students welcomed new University of Missouri System president Tim Wolfe to the Kansas City campus Wednesday afternoon.

Wolfe will be visiting all four University of Missouri campuses between now and the time he officially begins his new job in February 2012.

Wolfe says he plans to apply business sense to university leadership.

"Doing the right economic development with business leaders and political leader s and our leaders on the campus ...doing the right economic development to create jobs for our wonderful graduates to compete for and hopefully be placed in,” Wolfe said.

Wolfe graduated from the MU business school. He will begin his new duties on February 15.
