KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Some Kansas City, Missouri, public high school students are feeling the satisfaction of doing a good deed for a senior citizen.

The students reached out to help an 86-year old Kansas City woman whose roof needed to be replaced.

Three years ago students in the Southwest Early College Campus Cadet Club painted the woman’s house.

When the same students noticed the failing roof, they contacted the Kansas City Chiefs who agreed to fund the project.

Bordner Roofing donated labor and materials and Dean Blay Construction agreed to assist on the service project.

In addition to replacing the roof on Saturday, students and crew also replaced storm doors, windows and installed smoke detectors.
