FENTON, Missouri - A terminally ill Missouri teen tied the knot with her childhood sweetheart, Tony Cremeens as her final wish Wednesday.
19-year-old Danielle English was born with Cystic Fibrosis and recently had a lung transplant. But a few weeks ago, her body started to reject the donor lungs.
According to the St. Louis NBC affiliate, KSDK, when Tony heard the news he got down on one knee and proposed with Danielle's great grandmother's ring.
Even though Danielle's parents say she is too young to get married, they're doing all they can to make her happy. They turned to the group, "Wish upon a wedding" to make it all happen.
According to KSDK, the couple was the first to get a free wedding through the non-profit organization. They got married at The Four Seasons hotel. Everything including Danielle's dress was donated.
"We take it day by day, we enjoy each day and we are going to celebrate today because it's all about having fun and living and Dani is all about that," said Danielle's grandmother, Ellen Wilhelm.
Doctors say Danielle has less than six months to live.
