KANSAS CITY, Mo. - City council members in Kansas City, Mo., wanted to make their last meeting of the year special.
Tuesday night, the Third District hosted its monthly meeting at Arrowhead Stadium.
Councilman Jermaine Reed said they wanted to have it on the Chiefs home turf, which is part of the district, so fans could enjoy the NFL atmosphere.
"Residents have been extremely excited about being here. They're going to have an opportunity to sit up in the press box and also get a tour of the area," he said. "They are extremely excited and very appreciative about being here tonight."
The city also offered free rides on a shuttle to Arrowhead as an incentive for Tuesday night's meeting.
