KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After a temporary close due to health code violations, Kansas City barbecue landmark Arthur Bryant’s has reopened.
The location at 1727 Brooklyn Ave., closed on August 29 to correct issues cited in a complaint inspection.
Violations included mold reside build up in the ice machine, the presence of rat droppings as well as dead and live mice throughout the restaurant.
The citation also noted an ill-maintained plumbing system and lack of keeping hot food at temperatures in accordance with the food code.
