KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Country Club Plaza is beginning the new year with a couple of businesses leaving the area, but is also expecting some new tenants soon.
Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse became the first business to leave the popular shopping and entertainment district in 2013, closing its doors on Jan. 1.
Brooks Brothers , an upscale clothing store, also plans on closing, though an exact date hadn’t been set.
Out with the old, and in with the new. This spring, the Plaza will welcome two new tenants.
Hot Mama and Athleta , both clothing stores targeted at women, will open on 47th Street later this year.
