KANSAS CITY, Missouri - If you’re sick and tired of the hot weather and want to cool off with a cool drink Thursday, you can do so for free.
McAlister’s Deli has declared July 29 “Free Tea Day,” where participating nationwide restaurants offer customers a 32-ounce cup of McAlister’s Famous Sweet Tea with no purchase necessary.
"Summer is a time to celebrate the flavors of the season-and what better way than showcasing the freshest ingredients and the signature sweet tea that made us famous," said Annica Kreider, vice president of marketing, McAlister's Corp . "'Free Tea Day' is our way of giving back to our loyal customer base during the sweetest season of the year."
McAlister’s has two area locations – one in Lawrence, Kansas and another in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
