BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - A Blue Springs, Mo., therapist was arrested for allegedly molesting a disabled student - and police worry there may be more victims out there.
Officers arrested Paul Chang on Monday in Marshall, Mo., where he is accused of sexually assaulting a handicapped student.
He runs several businesses that connect with children in Blue Springs.
One next door neighbor said he almost fell to his knees when he heard the news.
According to Saline County court documents, police arrested Chang at Prairie View School in Marshall.
A teacher's aid told police she walked in on Chang inappropriately touching a female student above the waist.
The student is described as being "severely mentally handicapped."
In the documents, Chang admitted to officers this wasn't the first time he inappropriately touched the student and said he was sorry.
An examination revealed two teeth marks on the student.
41 Action News discovered Chang is connected to several organizations dedicated to children in the Blue Springs area.
A July 2011 court document shows the Rainbow Center of Blue Springs contracted with Paul Chang and Associates for its occupational therapy services.
According to its website, the Rainbow Center provides assistance to children with developmental disabilities.
41 Action News reached out to the organization, but board member Ryan Snyder said he could not comment on the case.
Chang is also the head of the Blue Springs Aikido. He is listed as a Sensei and they have several videos of him posted on their Facebook page.
Robert Scheerer with the Saint Joseph Aikido defended Chang.
"Paul is the most honorable, compassionate and giving person I know," he said.
Chang's home in Blue Springs is also listed as the address for his physical therapy business. Neighbors wouldn't go on camera, but told Mitch Weber they can't believe he is capable of the felony charges he faces.
Chang is currently in the Saline County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond.
