KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A precautionary boil advisory issued Tuesday night for parts of southeast Kansas City expired Wednesday evening.
The advisory covered the area of Interstate 70 south to 87th Street, and from the Blue Ridge Cutoff east to the city limits.
It was issued just after 10 p.m. Tuesday because of a power outage that affected a water pump station.
The advisory expired after says tests on water samples taken from the area Tuesday night came back clean.
Officials urged customers to boil all water for three minutes before using it to drink, cook or prepare food.
