KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three people were hurt early Monday when a minivan crashed into a Kansas City home and ignited a small fire, police said.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. on in the 400 block of 101st Street, near Wornall.
The fire was put out quickly.
Four people were inside the house when it happened, police said.
“I was sound asleep,” a woman who lives in the home said. “I heard a crash through the garage.”
The woman, her mother and grandmother were not hurt. Her grandfather was sent to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The two people inside the car also sustained minor injuries, according to police.
The woman said she said sat with one of the injured people from inside the car until emergency crews arrived.
