1 injured after car stuck under semi truck on EB I-470 at Red Bridge Road

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A crash ended with a car stuck underneath a semi truck on eastbound Interstate 470 at Red Bridge Road.
The wreck occurred around 4 p.m. Monday and closed part of the highway for three hours.
Firefighters and paramedics from Kansas City, Mo., helped extricate one person from the car, who was described as alive but seriously injured. The person has been taken to a local hospital.
The Kansas City Police Department's Accident Investigation and Commercial Vehicle Inspection units processed the scene.
