OLATHE, Kan. - Students at Prince of Peace Parish in Olathe are continuing a labor of love Sunday with their "Give n' Get Coat and Shoe Exchange."
Catholic high school and grade school students held their 3rd annual drive to help needy families in the area. Community members had the chance to come and pick up free, gently used clothing, shoes and coats.
The event started as a student-initiated community service project last year, but turned into a labor of love for the group of students.
Last year, more than 800 people received free items, and this year was even larger. The event runs until 2:30 p.m.
