KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Students from Central High School in Kansas City were allowed to go home after a lockdown was lifted when a near-by stand-off ended without incident.
According to reports from the Kansas City Police Department, there was a suspect in a home nearby with a rifle.
No one was injured.
The students would normally be released around 2:30 p.m., but they were kept at the school until after 2:45 p.m. as a safety precaution.
