KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Sports Scene in downtown Lee's Summit says fans are asking for more fan gear than owner Tim Huber has seen in the six years he’s been in business.
The store mostly sales Mizzou hats, shirts and souvenirs but he says he has tried to order more Chiefs supplies, but can't get it in because so many other stores are doing the same thing.
The hoodies, fleeces and hats he did have in stock were all bought by fans on Friday. He is expecting a new shipment by Tuesday.
"Most people ask for the Jamaal Charles jersey," Huber said. "But a lot of people are just excited about the team as a whole."
The Chiefs practiced Friday in preparation for their matchup against the Houston Texans.
