KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A 14-year-old boy has serious injuries after being hit by a car Saturday in Kansas City, police said.

It happened at about 2:45 p.m. near 107th and Blue Ridge Boulevard.

Witnesses told police the boy was crossing the street with some friends when he was hit.

The driver of the car stopped and immediately called police.

The boy was transported to an area hospital and has since regained consciousness, police said.
