KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A young man from Raytown, Mo., is being honored by his co-workers after he was killed in a car crash this week.
On Friday, the staff at Extra Virgin in Kansas City spoke to 41 Action News about friend and colleague Tyler Fracassa.
Fracassa, 27, died Wednesday afternoon when his car ran off the road and hit a tree on Highway 7 and Chandler Road in rural Cass County.
“We opened up the place together,” said Alberto Santoro, bar manager at the restaurant. “He had three kids and a lovely wife.”
Fracassa worked as a server at the restaurant and was close with several co-workers and customers.
“He was our buddy,” said manager Matthew Markey. “We loved him. He was a great guy and right now we’re just trying to help support his family.”
Friends have set up a web page, www.tylerfracassa.org as a memorial for Fracassa.
