KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Saturday morning, city leaders fielded questions from the community about the East Patrol police station. It’s a development the city promises will serve the community.

The proposed 17 acre, $57 million campus will house the East Patrol police station, a crime lab and a multipurpose room. The Santa Fe Neighborhood Association wanted to know more about the project Saturday morning.

City leaders and representatives from JE Dunn met to answer questions and inform residents of what their new neighbor will bring to the neighborhood.

Eric Bosch is an architect for the city of Kansas City.

"One of the things we are really proud of is, we’re going to have a community room not like any other police station. It’s going to be bigger,” Bosch said. “We’re also going to have a computer lab and the citizens can come to the police station. It will be open 24 hours a day.”

The next community meeting is scheduled for November 3 at the Lincoln Building near 18th and Vine.
