KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man died when his house caught fire early Friday morning.
It happened on Thompson and Indiana avenues, in Kansas City’s old northeast area, around 1:30 a.m.
Fire crews were unable to enter the house because it was too dangerous. Just before 6 a.m., the west side of the home collapsed.
Later Friday morning, crews recovered the man’s body. His identity has not been released.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
