KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Crown Center Ice Terrace opened for the season Friday and dozens of Kansas City skaters showed up to take advantage of the free early-bird admission.
The ice opened at 6 a.m. and admission was free until 9 a.m.
Many kids were on the ice having a little fun before they headed off to school, and many of the adults were out trying to stay on their feet.
The Ice Terrace will be open from now until early March. The rink opens every day at 10 a.m. They close at 9 p.m. during the week, and 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
