KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Crown Center Ice Terrace outdoor ice skating rink opened Friday morning for its 40 th year.
The Ice Terrace kicked off its season with free skating from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
The season runs until the end of March. Regular admission is $6, skate rental is $3. Entrance is free for anyone over age 60 or under age 4.
The Ice Terrace’s regular hours through January are:
Sunday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Ice Terrace’s regular hours in February and March are:
Monday through Thursday: 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The ice rink is also open limited hours on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. It is closed on Christmas. If you're looking for a real deal, check out two-for-one Tuesdays. After 5 p.m. on Tuesdays skating is buy one get one free.
