KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Video released by police shows the Kansas City bus driver who hit a pedestrian Friday morning was distracted.
Just before 7 a.m., a KCATA bus driver was heading north on Baltimore, and as he made a left onto 11th Street, he reached down to his left, took his eyes off the road and hit a woman who was walking in a cross walk .
The video shows that the driver remained oblivious to the collision and continued to drive for a full block before he was stopped by a man banging on the side of the bus.
The woman was rushed to an area hospital. As of Thursday morning, she remained in the hospital and is stable.
KCATA would not comment on the driver being distracted because the crash is still under investigation.
