KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Authorities called on an initial report of a double hit-and-run at Indiana and E. Linwood now say it may have been something more.
The sergeant on scene asid two people in a car and two pedestrians "got into it" outside the BP gas station just after 4 p.m. A "melee" broke out in which both sides were said to be using tire irons.
Authorities say the two in the car drove off, hitting and seriously injuring one of the pedestrians.
The second pedestrian was detained by police.
The vehicle, a white Ford Focus, was last seen headed south on Indiana.
We’ll bring you updates as they become available.
