KANSAS CITY, Mo. - As many as eight vehicles have crashed into a ditch near a Kansas City high school, police said.
Emergency responders are at the scene, at N Woodland and NE Shoal Creek Parkway. That’s about seven-tenths of a mile down the road from Staley High School.
There were no immediate reports of any serious injuries.
A spokeswoman for the high school said police were working several accidents on ice-covered roadways in the area of the school.
She said she thought the cars may have ended up in the ditch as they tried to stop for a longer-than-normal line of vehicles trying to get into the school.
