KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two people were killed in a two-car accident Thursday evening.
Police say a father and his 13-year-old daughter are the victims of the crash at happened at 106th and Holmes in Kansas City, Mo.
Witnesses say the father, who has not been officially identified by police, was driving down northbound on Holmes when he lost control and rear-ended a green vehicle. The car then hit a tree.
Both the father and the daughter died on impact. A five-year-old and another 13-year-old were also in the car. They were both taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital with injuries.
Four people were in the green car; one of which was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injures.
It’s unclear at this time if the victims were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
